Stephen R. Clark was sworn in as a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri in June 2019. He became Chief Judge in 2022. Immediately before taking the bench, Chief Judge Clark was the Founding and Managing Partner of Runnymede Law Group, formerly known as Clark Law Firm, LLC and Clark & Sauer, LLC, a national litigation practice representing clients in trials and appeals of complex commercial and constitutional litigation. Prior to founding Runnymede in 2008, Chief Judge Clark was a partner at Husch Blackwell LLP, an equity shareholder at Polsinelli PC, an officer at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., and a municipal prosecutor. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Notre Dame, Chief Judge Clark earned his Juris Doctor at St. Louis University School of Law.
